Yaraandoo is an outstanding showcase of 'best practice' environmental design, engineering, construction and management. Self-sufficient in terms of water, heat and power, this Centre combines optimum use of resources with minimum impact on local eco-systems. Features of the building include:
Recycled timbers from Waterfall Way bridges.
Solar passive design parameters including rammed earth walls and mud bricks.
Yaraandoo Eco Lodge and Function Centre is a modern facility with 19 rooms, accommodating up to 50 people, and is ideal for teambuilding, workshops, family functions and weddings.
Our eco retreat is located adjacent to the World Heritage-listed New England National Park and Cathedral Rocks National Park, along Point Lookout Road (just off the Waterfall Way) near Ebor in Northern NSW. We are about midway between Armidale and Dorrigo in the New England Snowy's.
New England National Park has over 50kms of graded walking tracks through splendid Antarctic beech forest and sweeping vistas of the eastern escarpment.
A modern, well-equipped facility, Yaraandoo is located in a tranquil bush setting and offers the ideal location for that corporate training getaway or social gathering, special interest group or the overnight traveller. Meals are available for groups of 12 people or more, however guests are also welcome to self cater. Self-catering accommodation includes a beautifully appointed fully self-contained apartment as well as shared group accommodation.
Yaraandoo has won numerous awards for its environmental design and construction.
